Comfort + Style = Hey Dude

Just recently Hey Dude opened it's first concept store in Davao at the 2nd level of Gaisano Mall of Davao.

Reminiscent of other outdoor shoes, Hey Dude promises Lightness, Comfort, and Style in every pair they come up with. Hey Dude combines the comfort a pair of slippers give and the dapper of a dress shoe. In other words, you get to taste the best of what both worlds can offer.

Most of HEY DUDE's patrons are the ones who are very fond of the outdoors, especially those who loves to frolic in the beach. But of course, true to their claim that they never fail to combine COMFORT and STYLE, they do come out with designs that can be worn when you go out and seek for adventure or you simply just want to strut your stylish self wherever.

Hey Dude utilizes the revolutionary Flex & Fold Technology. It combines ultra light outsole with ultra comfortable insole. This technology allows them to create shoes that are stylishly current and undeniably comfortable. Their shoes weighs only about a mere 6oz. - 7oz. WOW!!!! If that doesn't sound comfortable to you, yet, then it's best if you get yourself checked. haha

The heat of the sun was unforgiving and time constraints were major issues we had to tackle on the day of the shoot, but the end products made it all worth it.

The shoot proved to be a success as we were able to get it done in time with great results. Style Bloggers and Fashion Enthusiasts did a great job working their outfit from Stylista, Inc. 

ANIMAL INSTINCTS: Models channeling their "Sasha Fierce" inside.

RULE OF THUMB when sporting Animal Prints, WEAR ONLY ONE PRINT/PATTERN at a time. Never combine two animal prints in one look.. Unless of course if you want to look like a total roadkill.

YOUNG, WILD, and FREE:  Style Bloggers, Cham and Kweshie, unleashes their indie spirits with Aztec prints.

Aztec Prints can go a long way. Go soft and sweet by pairing aztec-printed pieces with soft vests or anything Taylor Swift would love. haha.. Or go hard and edgy by pairing it with leather jacket.

COTTON CANDY DREAMS: Fresh, Fun, and Flirty. Girls can only do so much with candy-colored pieces.

EURO STREET: Blogger, Gelianne Alba, embraces her inner fashion diva with clothes fit for a Georgina Sparks.

SOCIAL BUTTERFLIES: If you want to look like you've just won a million bucks, before tax, choose clothes that Jenny Humphrey, Serena Van der Woodsen, and Blair Waldorf would love.

TIPS ON FINDING THE PERFECT SHOES

If you're like me, buying a pair of "to-die-for" shoes might be the best treat for your longing soul. But despite the fairytale-like excitement we get from buying one, everything can really turn into a total disaster.

So, as a SOLE SEARCHER, here are my tips when splurging for a fab pair.

BE OPEN-MINDED

When shopping, only have a general idea on what to buy or go on shopping for. When shopping for shoes, just think about BUYING THE PERFECT PAIR. Don't think to much about the design, or the color, or whatever comes to mind, because that you make it all a task and not a fun experience. You wouldn't enjoy trying on different shoe designs, because you've set your mind.

BE READY TO SPEND YOUR MONEY. . . . WISELY!

Your perfect pair won't always be affordable, but it also doesn't mean that it will always be hard to attain. Just because it has a label or it's a designer shoes, doesn't mean that it will feed your shoe-aholic soul. Try going to a mall's department store for a cheaper alternative, they offer shoes that are affordable yet fashionable. But as a lover of shoes, and if it's in your blood, you'll know and come in terms with the reality that GREAT SHOES equates to a more expensive price tag.

WOMEN (SOMETIMES) KNOWS BEST

Bring a female companion with you when shoe shopping. Girls who have great taste in fashion can also be a great judge when it comes to a guy's fashion problems.

SALE AWAY

Don't shy away from buying shoes on clearance. The only thing that these pairs are guilty of is being a season or two "out of style". But trust me, IF YOU'RE A GUY: nobody could really tell the difference between a Lacoste S/S 2010 shoes from a Lacoste S/S 2012 shoes, so long as they're clean and worn with the right clothes. But IF YOU'RE A GIRL, chances are, every fashionista can tell if it's "sooooo last season". Because Women's Fashion change so rapidly and drastically at that.

ALLOW IT TO BREATHE

Choose a pair that is so comfortable your feet can breathe. When a pair caught you eye, try it on and walk with it try look for another pair that you might like. This would test just how comfortable the shoes are.

GO ONLINE

Know what's IN and what's OUT by browsing online shoe shopping sites and blogs about fashion and shoes.

ALWAYS BUY AND NEVER REGRET THE PURCHASE

Right after making the purchase, NEVER tell yourself, "I never should have bought that... I should have looked for other options..." - - - NEVER!

FOR KEEPS: Stash by Cheyser Pedregosa

Just like a squirrel that stashes away nuts for winter, female fashionistas went gaga over Cheyser Pedregosa of THE WALKING RECESSIONISTA's premier line aptly named STASH.

I can't help but love the collection for I am a big fan of elaborate prints and aztec-inspired art. The collection speaks about Cheyser as an individual. It shows us just what kind of a person she is. YOUNG, WILD, and FREE.

This has got to be my favorite. It's aztec-inspired print caught my fancy faster than I caught my breath. I am in awe with just how great Cheyser's look in this picture was put together. Simple yet rocking!

Let me just say this.. CHEYSER, you are a GENIUS! true to your blog's name, you are a WALKING RECESSIONISTA who knows how to turn just about anything into gold. x.

One can do so much with this piece. You can look a bit Taylor Swift kind of sweet by putting on a soft, flowy vest OR channel your inner 'GOOD-GIRL-GONE-BAD' self by putting on a leather jacket as shown in this look by Cheyser.

AGAIN, just GENIUS. x

I love this piece for it can be used as a top or as a skirt. It's fun and functional.
