Just recently Hey Dude opened it's first concept store in Davao at the 2nd level of Gaisano Mall of Davao.

Reminiscent of other outdoor shoes, Hey Dude promises Lightness, Comfort, and Style in every pair they come up with. Hey Dude combines the comfort a pair of slippers give and the dapper of a dress shoe. In other words, you get to taste the best of what both worlds can offer.

Most of HEY DUDE's patrons are the ones who are very fond of the outdoors, especially those who loves to frolic in the beach. But of course, true to their claim that they never fail to combine COMFORT and STYLE, they do come out with designs that can be worn when you go out and seek for adventure or you simply just want to strut your stylish self wherever.

Hey Dude utilizes the revolutionary Flex & Fold Technology. It combines ultra light outsole with ultra comfortable insole. This technology allows them to create shoes that are stylishly current and undeniably comfortable. Their shoes weighs only about a mere 6oz. - 7oz. WOW!!!! If that doesn't sound comfortable to you, yet, then it's best if you get yourself checked. haha

REALITY CHECK

As I was about to hit the sack, I took time to check my Facebook page and saw Aidx Paredes' post on my timeline.

If you happen to know Aidx or read his blog posts, most of his entries are about fashion and the likes, but what made me stop and take a moment to read was mainly because it is about a new blog he created with Vkmae Jumamil Amorio.

Together, they created Cafxeine as their project for MULAT PINOY, Social Networth Workshop. The blog tackles the different issues that are now being faced by people as young as the kids we see in the streets every single day. From the sensitive issues about Premarital Sex to the problems about education.

What's great about this blog is that it veered away from the glitz and the glamour of other blogs in the blogosphere. Instead of talking about what great things life has to offer, it discusses the things our less fortunate and less educated brothers x sisters have to face - even at such early age.

This blog reminded me that I have so much. Too much, maybe. From the material things up to my very intellect.

I just hope that we will not let ourselves be blinded by what interests us or catches our fancy. May we all take a moment to realize that in this life, there is more to care about.

COTTON CANDY DREAMS: 'Random Candies' by Willar Mateo of SALAD DAY

As an art enthusiast and a great supporter of young, up and coming Filipino designers, I constantly browse Facebook pages for new collections of the designers I follow, but what excites me more and makes my smile wider is when I see a new page of Philippines' "Young Blood".

Just a little while ago, I stumbled upon a new Facebook page, SALAD DAY.

Salad Day is Willar Mateo's brainchild. Though he has been making clothes for the longest time now and is establishing a following, RANDOM CANDIES is Willar's breakthrough collection of his fashion line. In comparison to his past works, the pieces he has just released are more well put together and one can easily conclude that the young designer behind the great pieces have grown with experience. Experiences he got from working at I LOVE YOU STORE and under the wings of designer, Gian Romano.

The weirdness of the design reminded me of PARADIGM SHIFT's pieces.

True to it's brand name, Willar playfully combined elements that are vastly different from each other, but when put together, still looks great. The calmness brought about my minimalism, the fun that colorful prints bring, the bizarre cuts and patterns, all combined to bring to life what we know now as RANDOM CANDIES.

It's not coffee if it's not GREEN COFFEE

When Starbucks opened their very first branch here in Davao, people flocked their shop like mad dogs. The lines were crazy as hell, it almost feels like we're lining for a free drink, but we're not. But it didn't take long before the number slowly subsided, maybe because of the constraints of their store location and just basically the size. People could barely chill and talk with friends over a cup of coffee because when they look right or left, they'd see people staring blankly at them seemingly wanting to tell them "Please gulp that thing down and leave..We need seats too."

and then came Green Coffee.

Not to be considered a minor player in the Coffee Shop business industry, Green Coffee boasts itself as the FIRST (if not the only) to have an AIR-CONDITIONED Coffee Shop Garden..

Green Coffee is situated at Torres St., Davao City, and is brewing 24/7. Proving that Green Coffee is Davao’s pride when it comes to Coffee, just recently, Manila got a taste of GREEN COFFEE when they opened their FIRST Manila Branch, located at Tomas Morato, QC.

what makes GREEN COFFEE so different from other coffee shops brewing in the Philippines? It is it’s GENIUS idea of introducing a new addition to their menu ONE AT A TIME. it gives people something to look forward to.

Not too long ago, they introduced their new line of Fine Salt & Cheese concoctions.

It's so delicious it even had a celebrity raving about it! Talk about a celebrity sway :)

I went with my family and got ourselves some drinks. My dad kept on telling us how much he LOVES Green Coffee's Coffee Jelly Freezecinno and their Milk Tea w/ FSC.. He kept asking my mom when we'll be back. haha

My mom raved about how relaxing the place was and immediately texted her batchmates to spend their scheduled get-together in Green Coffee.

What I also love about GREEN COFFEE is how the people behind GC makes us feel like friends or even family. They never fail to tweet welcoming us to their humble shop and thanking us for spending time there.

With my busy schedule and with my time mostly dedicated on work, the next best thing other than my bed is being at Green Coffee. :)

Don't go on with life without trying out what GREEN COFFEE has to offer!! I'm telling you, IT IS A MUST. It is more than just Coffee, It is an EXPERIENCE. :)
